Atlanta: Staycation with AC Hotels by Marriott
This post is sponsored by AC Hotels Atlanta Downtown, but as always all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help make this blog possible.
Between all the rain and the gloomy weather here in Atlanta, we’ve been stir crazy and itching to get out of our place and do something fun. We were so excited to get a chance to have a fabulous staycation in Downtown Atlanta at the AC Hotel by Marriott! Here’s a breakdown of what we did:
EVENING:
After the boys got out of school we grabbed dinner then headed over to check in. We were greeted by the most amazing team at the AC Hotels by Marriott Downtown Atlanta location. They were so thoughtful and surprised us with two adjoining rooms so the boys would have plenty of room to hang out all weekend. We could see SkyView from our room, a fun Ferris Wheel in Atlanta that provides the best panoramic views of the city. And the boys were so happy when they saw the basket of treats left for them on their bed…because we all know snacks are the way to their heart! Haha! We were exhausted so we Netflixed and chilled for the rest of the night until we all fell asleep. ♡
MORNING
Waking up in the fluffy AC Hotels bed was so delightful. The rooms were modern + stylish with large rainfall showers, beautiful bathroom detailing, the most amazing smelling soaps and fabulous downtown views. For brunch we wandered downstairs to AC Lounge the hotel restaurant. They offered a delicious English breakfast that we tore up and the holiday decor really put us in the holiday spirit.
AFTERNOON
The location of AC Hotels Atlanta Downtown is within walking distance to tons of activities—the Georgia Aquarium, Children’s Museum, Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca-Cola + Center for Civil and Human Rights to name some of our faves. We walked a few blocks over to the Children’s Museum and ended up having so much fun we stayed until they closed.
EVENING
We couldn’t wait to get back to our rooms to shower and order pizza in after adventuring around all afternoon. We ordered from the restaurant downstairs then fell asleep together watching movies. It was such a good weekend together and allowed us to slow things down to enjoy Atlanta in a new way!
Special thanks to the staff at AC Hotels Marriott Atlanta Downtown for making our stay so special. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a stay in Atlanta—near or far.
XO!
