Lampley Life Update with Toyota

This post is sponsored by Southeast Toyota Distributers, LLC, but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you so much for supporting the brands we love and that make this blog possible!

Hi friends and family! The Lampley crew has a huge change on the horizon, and I'm so excited to share all of the details with you. 🖤A few months ago Lewis and I decided we wanted to get rid of all the "stuff" (including our home) to focus on more life and adventures together as a family! It probably sounds like a complicated decision that took careful thought and consideration, but for us it was a no-brainer. It literally took one conversation with a grandparent to wake us up to the life we were living and prompt the question:

"In 10 years, what might you wish you'd done differently right now?"

That single inquiry highlighted every single thing we were doing that didn't support our long term dreams of traveling with our boys and giving their childhood the gift of experiences over things.

We're currently in the process of packing up just the basics to take with us in this next chapter. We're saying goodbye to most of the stuff we've accumulated over the years and moving forward with only items that truly represent what we love and believe in. From our car to capsule wardrobes, we'll be sharing what we take with us to document our transition as well as encourage other families or individuals that may be looking to downsize.

One of our first major conversations was what car we'll be taking with us. Lew and I have both owned Toyotas since we were dating, so it only made sense that we stick with a vehicle that has great gas mileage, is safe for our boys, requires minimal maintenance and has proven to be a stress-free choice. Our friends at Southeast Toyota let us borrow the new 2018 Toyota Camry for the weekend and we fell in love with all the features! Some of our favorites were:

  • 10-inch Head-Up Display (I loved being able to see my speed projected onto the windshield)
  • Birds Eye View camera (the boys really enjoyed being able to see an overhead view while driving)
  • Comfort (Major for Lewis and his super long legs ☺️)
  • All the safety features--especially lane departure alert + Pedestrian Detection
  • Front and Rear Cupholders (our 4 year old loves a good cupholder because, you know, snacks on snacks)
  • Keyless Ignition (every mom's favorite)
  • Great mileage
  • Excellent cargo capacity
  • Universal tablet holder

I could continue to count the ways, but you get the point. This car will always be a favorite of ours and we feel so grateful to be able to take Toyota with us during this new & exciting ride of our lives.

Check out the video clip of our first mini adventure together in the new 2018 Toyota Camry:

Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC provided me with compensation and use of a Toyota Camry for a short period of time. The opinions I have shared about this vehicle are my own.

Special thanks to Blakely from AHP Photo + Video for documenting this for us! ❤️

XO,

Sarah
